Is it All Valid?

A little ahead.

Keep household expiry dates and renewal work together, privately on your iPhone.

AllValid is being prepared for its first TestFlight beta. Requires iOS 18.6 or later.

Quick answers

How do I add an item?

Add a profile in Household for a person, vehicle, pet or other thing, or use the permanent Household profile. In Items or on a profile, choose Add item. Select I have it and confirm Expiry and Start by. For something you do not have yet, choose Still needed; only the profile and title are required.

What does Start by mean?

It is the day to begin renewal work, no later than that date. Suggestions are editable and are not official advice. Expiry includes the date shown: an item expiring today becomes expired tomorrow. Always check the original document and the relevant authority.

What is included for free?

Five active items across the household are free; archived items do not count. The optional lifetime unlock allows unlimited active items with one payment and no subscription. Apple shows the current localised price in Settings → Lifetime unlock. The five oldest active items remain editable for free. Any surplus items stay visible and read-only, with viewing, export, archive, restore, deletion and existing reminders available. Free a slot or unlock unlimited access to edit them.

How do reminders work?

Notifications are optional and generic by default. Check Settings → Notifications and Scheduling health, along with iOS notification settings and Focus. Detailed notifications can reveal names and dates on the Lock Screen. iOS controls delivery, so a reminder is not guaranteed to arrive.

How do I back up my records?

In Settings, export a JSON metadata backup, or choose Backup with photos to include saved pictures. CSV is for reading and cannot restore records. Exports have no extra encryption; save them somewhere you trust. Import previews changes before you confirm them. App settings and notification delivery state are not restored. Do not rely on OS backup alone to restore records and pictures consistently; keep a separate backup of important records.

Can I scan or attach a picture?

Scanning, OCR, camera/Photos/Files intake and new profile-photo selection are disabled in the current Release candidate. Pictures already present in a supported photo backup can be imported, viewed or removed. Scanning and optional photos are planned for version 1.0 and are completing device and privacy validation. These pages will be updated when that build is available.

Does AllValid sync or share a household?

Records are local to the app. There is no live iCloud sync or shared household. Send a copy, Calendar and Apple Reminders create independent copies that can use the destination’s own accounts. Later edits or deletion in AllValid do not update those copies. Repeating an export can create duplicates. Purchase Family Sharing, where enabled by Apple, shares purchase access rather than household data.

What if my records will not open?

Do not delete or reinstall the app, erase its data or overwrite the store as a repair. Unlock your iPhone, check available storage, note the non-sensitive error code and use Retry. The app preserves its store on failure. If cleanup is pending after a committed operation, keep the installation and retry when the cause is resolved.
